The Danish team at the ESOMAR world congress in Montreal, i e the eyetracking software company iMotions, won the first ever award for "Best Exhibitor". We congratulate Peter Hartzbech and his team members and are happy that ESOMAR recognizes the important role of the exhibitors and the high quality of Scandinavian design and service.
The competition took the form of a delegate vote. Using the SpotMe device delegates voted for the exhibitor who best fit the following criteria:
* New Tool: Does the exhibitor have something new, exciting and original to show, pushing frontiers to the market place?
* Stand Design: Is the exhibition stand attractive in design, does it have good creative features and is it pleasant to look at and interact with?
* Personnel: Are the people on the stand helpful, welcoming and generally willing to communicate?
The prize for the winner was a free stand at Congress 2009 and first pick for their stand placement. They also received 2 bottles of champagne for the team on the stand and the exhibitor award trophy.
Market Manager Claudia Beer was the brain behind the Montreal stand. She comments the award for SMRN like this:
- We are very honored to be recognized by ESOMAR attendees as the Best Exhibitor. It means a lot to us that attendees noticed the unique value in Emotion Tool and also the people that stand behind it.

Peter Hartzbech, CEO and founder of iMotions, can't hide his satisfaction - and why should he? - and says in a comment to SMRN:
- This is pretty big, isn't it?
