While we are enduring the longest and coldest winter in many years, it feels nice to have the Swedish Market Research Day (Marknadsundersökningens Dag) to look forward to. We can naturally not promise that we still have beautiful winter weather on March 11, but we can promise a range of some of the best MR speakers in the world.

In 2008, Ray Poynter tried to teach us all how to pronounce "dirigible". He didn't succeed, so he had to come back this year to give it another shot. Hopefully he will fail again! (Photo: Marcus Bjärneroth, Reflect)
Ray Poynter, the Future Place, returns with a presentation about conjoint analysis in multivariate research. Does it sound boring and difficult? Anyone who has seen Ray in action knows it won't be. Ray can turn any subject into something, fun, entertaining and thought-provoking, which he demonstrated at SMRD two years ago, at the Norwegian and Danish market research days and at numerous ESOMAR and MRS conferences.

We can't promise that Annelies Verhaege will bring the plate she won in Montreux, but she will certainly bring a great presentation again! (Photo: ESOMAR)
Annelies Verhaege, Insites Consulting, Belgium, won the prestiguous title "Young Researcher of the year" at the ESOMAR congress 2009. Not that seemed very young when she gave her top-class presentation in Montreux, but both she and Insites are part of a new and fresh wind in European market research. She will speak about social media in general and research with the help of Facebook in particular.
Val Karruck, vice President of ToLuna, USA, will give an overview of techniques for research with mobile and wireless devices.
Information on how to register for SMRD, will be published shortly here at SRMN.
