With the increasing usage of social media, the UK online specialist Michalis Michael has opened DigitalMR, an agency focusing on social media research, with headquarters in London. Michael joined the full service institute Masmi in April this year and calls his new agency: ”one of the first pure digital market research agencies to be launched”. Masmi is said to hold a substantial but not a majority stake in the agency.
DigitalMR offers clients services including online communities, online panels, web-based qual research and social media monitoring. The ‘holistic approach’ to web-based market research fully utilizes social media research and web listening, as well as technology platforms to enhance its business consulting approach.
‘We are very excited to be moving into a space that has remained unclaimed by specialists within the market research industry,’ says Michael. ‘There are many companies that do parts of what constitutes digital market research, but none appear to be taking a holistic approach, with the exception of DigitalMR.’
