The market research association MRS announces Jane Frost as new Chief Executive. The former BBC and Shell marketer has been named the new Chief Executive of the Market Research Society. Frost will join the organisation at the end of November.
She joins from HM Revenue & Customs where she developed and led the individual customer function and the behavioural evidence and insight unit.
Before moving to HMRC in 2006, she held senior roles in both public and private sector organisations including Shell, Unilever, the Department of Constitutional Affairs and the BBC, where she was responsible for the iconic ‘Perfect Day’ campaign which, as well as winning advertisement of the year, raised £2.5m for Children in Need.
Her appointment to lead the world’s largest research membership organisation, which has over 6,000 members in more than 70 countries and 420 Company Partners, is said to be a signal of intent by MRS to reach out more proactively to the business, finance, marketing, public and policy-making communities and highlight the bottom line benefit research brings.
Jane comments: “I am excited to be taking up this opportunity at a time when businesses and decision makers need the power of evidence and the insights it generates to understand and influence customers and stakeholders, driving down costs and increasing demand. Evidence and insights are powerful forces for change.”
Jane succeeds David Barr who has retired after 14 years as the Director General of MRS.
